Text format of the AMA-session with Sergey Shashev

On December 3, an AMA-session with Broxus co-founder Sergey Shashev was held. This article provides answers to the most interesting questions.

1) What are the deadlines, methods and solutions for the Korean issue?

Sergey Shashev: Everyone remembers that the Koreans came in August and began to actively buy tokens, the Koreans created a huge initial impulse for the entire network, they also created a Korean Subgovernance, and in general they were extremely active. Then they became not so enthusiastic, and when sales and failures began, we began to find out what was happening, we talked with more than one person. It turned out that within the Korean community there are different groups. One of the groups inside Korea has gone to TonCoin, the rest of the groups do not want to go, they are the main holders, they do not want to leave. The current state is such that we have agreed that in certain nodes all the tokens that they have on their hands will be blocked. We wait, talk to people every day. I expect that next week all their tokens will be blocked for 4 years, and after that it will be possible to move on.

2) 280 000 000 tokens were initially allocated for bonuses and will be sold in the format of a closed tokensale, does it cancel the features that were born with the absence of a tokensale, will the combined model of buying tokens by investors change?

Sergey Shashev: It's not exactly tokensale, we still have a closer concept of a round. That is, it is not tokensale in classical form. As for the current situation, we are starting to lag even more without funds. It's hard for us to compete for developers. Substantial assets must appear. As for the combined model - the format is closed, because it is a market practice.

3) Why is DeFi Alliance not considering the option of receiving funds from investors, buying out at least part of the tokens from the market for them?

Sergey Shashev: Inside one round, all funds always come in at the same price. If this is not the case, then the funds do not go in, because they find themselves in a situation that one has one price, the other has another, everyone becomes aware of this, the round breaks down. The distribution of tokens and the receipt of money should occur simultaneously.

4) Why don’t you raise the rate and then attract investors?

Sergey Shashev: We have been communicating with the funds for several months. No one wants the price to be lower. We are already worth a lot of liquidity, we cannot bring 15-20 million to the market so that a bunch of people come out, it is very expensive.

5) Is it planned to attract investors outside the Crystal Hands program?

Sergey Shashev: We do this constantly, like many other people in the community.

6) What lock up program is available for funds?

Sergey Shashev: Lock up lasts two years, a percent is proportional, every six months there will be a gap, then all investors will be invited to reinvest tokens, although they will also have the option of leaving tokens in validation.

7) Why does lock up last only two years?

Sergey Shashev: Because the market is constantly changing.

8) Is the rebranding of freeton.org and other products of the network underway?

Sergey Shashev: The site will most likely be shown on Monday. As for the products - TON Surf doesn’t have to be rebranded, it will not be my decision. As for tonscan.io - we have already bought a new domain before we moved. We haven't redesigned Broxus products yet, but I think we'll start next week.

9) Will a tech Whitepaper be released?

Sergey Shashev: We have just launched a stream for creating technical documentation, it is led by a specific person. We have a big problem with the fact that we have poor documentation, but this person appeared.

10) What are the project requirements in the grant system?

Sergey Shashev: There are no strict rules yet. We allocate grants to projects that have a great impact on the ecosystem. Small projects are likely to go to the benefit of the community.

11) When will be the first distribution of the BRIDGE tokens for the stakers and validators?

Sergey Shashev: I think it will be held by the new year, at the end of December.

12) When is the partial transition to Rust planned?

Sergey Shashev: The transition to Rust is underway, perhaps right now it has passed. This process has been going on for many weeks.

13) What are Broxus plans for the next 6 months?

Sergey Shashev: I will not disclose all our plans, because we always show the result. But I can say that next week we will introduce a new DEX.
