Node — the basis of blockchain ⛓

A node is a server with special software that is connected to a blockchain network.

Network nodes are the basis of every blockchain. They constantly "communicate" with each other, which makes it possible to create a decentralized network where there are no dedicated servers and a centralized governance. Depending on the type, the node can store the entire blockchain or part of it.

The role of the node is to ensure that the blockchain contains only reliable information. Network nodes confirm transactions and blocks. Thus, the nodes ensure the security of the entire blockchain network.

Types of nodes in blockchain

• Full Nodes — form the basis of the blockchain and contain information about each block from the beginning of the platform

• Lightweight nodes — wallets that load not the entire block chain, but only part of it. To check the data, access the full nodes of the network

• Masternodes — keep records of transactions, check blocks and ensure anonymity of users by splitting the transaction into several parts and forwarding between users

• Mining Nodes — can be full and light, always work in blockchains based on the Proof-of-Work algorithm

• Staking Nodes are full nodes in blockchains with a Proof-of-Stake algorithm
