Digital signature

Digital signature

Digital signature is a mechanism for verifying the authenticity of digital data. Digital signature is based on a cryptographic mechanism, which is essentially an analogue of a conventional handwritten signature and is a code attached to a document.

Currently, the most widely used electronic signature technology is based on asymmetric public key encryption. In this case, the user’s private key is used to create the signature, and the public key is used to verify it.
