DevEx Governance Meetup №41 dated 05.08.2021

The contest is over, use cases are presented, what happens to them next? TON Labs gives others a chance — the team skips the fld.ton.dev network contest. How many protocols does the Rust Node have — check the Whitepaper.

Groth16 zkSNARK Proof Verification Use Cases contest results

According to the contest results, four jury members provided estimates, the rest abstained. Voting can be considered completed. Now it’s up to the Cryptography subgovernance what to do with the suggested use cases.

Pavel Prigolovko believes it would be great if all the cases were presented in the main network with DeBot-interface.

Mikhail said that some of the use cases are already participating in the implementation contest. It would be great if they were all presented as a ready product. Each of the case studies can be submitted as a separate contest proposal, and the Free TON community will decide whether it is interested in them or not.

Alex raises the question of the community’s willingness to sell those products on the network and the willingness to pay for it.

Contest Updates

  • The Solidity Syntax Highlighting contest is ready and will be launched soon.
  • Alex is currently working on the Fld.ton.dev network contest and plans to have a proposal up for discussion by the end of the week.

The scope of the latter contest is at least 13 or 15 servers with a network, with an implemented DAB server and with an implemented Groth16 instruction on that network.

Mitja Goroshevsky says the Rust Net will have a huge number of new protocols, this will be written in the Whitepaper. Everything will be changed, including the consensus protocol. He announced they will not participate in the fld.ton.dev network contest.

Mitja also added that it should be written in the contest proposal that all developers who run the node will receive rewards. However, if something happens, they will need to cooperate and give each other access to the nodes.

All changes caused by contests should be merged into one network. Mitja also added that it should be written in the contest proposal that all developers who run the node will receive rewards. However, if something happens, they will need to cooperate and give each other access to the nodes.

Pavel Prigolovko promised to prepare a contest draft.
